This has been a busy week so far at Sara's Suds. Not only do we make and sell our luxurious soap and lotion we also take care of the herd of goats who support our endeavor by supplying us with this wonderful wholesome milk. Every year, the first week of September we load up a few of the girls and take them to our local fair. This gives the community a chance to see our animals, learn more about our farm and goat business, and also city kids a chance to touch and have contact with animals they may not see otherwise. So for this week, now, we are prepping the goats by trimming feet, clipping hair, having a vet check on them to assure that they are healthy and ready to go. Also with this goes the packing of gear. Feed pans need scrubbed along with water buckets, and goat blankets washed and ready in case it gets chilly after they are shaved. Hay, feed, and bedding need to be gathered to take and also clippers, feet trimmers, milking stand and many many more small items. As you can see this is not a week of rest, but it is an outing that we support and look forward to every year. So Sara's Suds, along with LuLu, Pippa, Bunny and Blue ( these are the 4 girls going this year) would like to issue you an invitation to come to our fair. It is the AMERICAN LEGION COUNTY FAIR (formally Cambria County Fair) starting on Sept. 3-9, 2017, located in Ebensburg PA. You can get more information at cambriacofair.com. We will be showing our goats on Tues starting at 9:00 am in the pig arena so feel free to come and watch all of the fun. Just a reminder: If you are in need of soap and will be attending the fair let us know and we can make sure we take your order with us to pick up there.
HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY LABOR DAY!
